Hurricane Disaster Relief

The devastation from back-to-back hurricanes Helene and Milton in the Southeast United States is historic. St. James is partnering with two highly reputable, effective Christian organizations that are on the ground providing disaster relief. ENGAGING OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

FAMILY PROMISE

St. James is a host site for Family Promise, providing shelter and hospitality to families experiencing homelessness 3-4 weeks every year. Many volunteer opportunities are available including set-up, cooking, and even doing laundry. We work in partnership with Columbine United Church.

SCHOOL PARTNERS

As St. James continues to love our neighbors, School Partners comes alongside children and their families with Weekend Supplemental Groceries every week of the year for children attending Sheridan School District schools.  We need monetary donations, shoppers, baggers, and delivery teams every week.  Visit our webpage for more information!

LOVE INC OF LITTLETON

Love in the Name of Christ (INC) mobilizes local churches like ours to provide assistance to families in need in Littleton. They train volunteers for a variety of roles and have many resources available around the community.

The Value of Partnership

NETWORK COFFEE HOUSE

Network’s unique ministry to homeless in the Capitol Hill area of Denver is to create a place for long-term, redemptive relationships. There are daytime and evening volunteer opportunities to simply sit, listen and share a cup of coffee.

FOOD BANK OF THE ROCKIES

TRANSFORMING OUR WORLD

REDEEM INTERNATIONAL 

Redeem International is an offshoot of International Justice Mission and exists to protect widows and orphans in Uganda from violence that threatens their lives. This includes protecting widows whose land is stolen by relatives and women and children facing domestic violence and sexual exploitation. Redeem works to support local authorities, to prosecute abusers and to change public attitudes.

ZIM KIDZ

We partner with other Presbyterian churches to fund the drilling of boreholes for clean water at schools and Presbyterian churches in the country of Zimbabwe. Boreholes are the first step in bringing gardens, preschools and health clinics to a community

LOVE WITH ACTIONS

We partner with LWA to serve children with disabilities and their families in the community of Bumbogo, Rwanda, showing them the love of Christ by providing medical assistance, physical and occupational therapy and income generating activities for parents.

SHALOM COMMUNITY ORGANIZATION

We partner with Shalom to create transformed communities in Rubavu, Rwanda by forming reconciled groups, including widows, women and students that work together to creatively design and implement initiatives to solve the problems they face related to poverty, health and education.

MISSION EXPERIENCE

Mission Experience aims to partner with the people of Haiti on a heart level and to spread the love of Christ. Currently operating an Orphanage (God's Garden), School (Grace Academy) and soon to be Church on a site on the outskirts of Port au Prince. Watch this video for more information.

Each year small teams visit some of our ministry partners in Rwanda, Zimbabwe or Haiti.

COMPASSION INTERNATIONAL

Many of our members sponsor children through Compassion, a child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.
