I'm New

Looking for a church to call "home"?
There is a place for you here at St. James!

St. James Presbyterian Church is located at the corner of West Belleview Avenue and South Lowell Boulevard
in southwest Littleton. There is plenty of parking for visitors—we have even reserved a place for you!

We know that visiting a new church can sometimes be a bit intimidating so we want to be honest from the start.
We do believe in God. Not only do we believe in God, we believe that He loves you.
At St. James, we’re a community of ordinary people from all over the greater Denver area, sharing together in something extraordinary.
We are imperfect people following Jesus who transforms lives, marriages, families and our world. When it comes down to it,
we’re a community that is dynamic and refreshingly real. To us, relationships matter. We value the past,
but don’t exist to preserve it. Instead, we build on it to discover the new ways that God is at work in the world.
Settling into a church as “home” is nothing to rush into. And yet, if a community of believers holds the possibility
of growing your faith and hope for living, then looking for such a place is nothing to put off.

What to expect

9:00 am | Worship Service | Main Sanctuary
We combine both traditional and contemporary elements in music and liturgy in a way in which all generations feel free to worship together in joy.
This service also includes times of prayer, scripture readings, sermon, and monthly celebration of communion.
The music offerings include our choirs, worship band, piano, organ, and handbells.

We tend to dress casually, although a few folks like to dress up. All are welcome; our church is ADA accessible.

10:30am (Fall-Spring) | Discipleship Hour | Various Church Classrooms
These classes have an emphasis on spiritual growth that helps Christians of all ages think,
act and be more like Jesus through a selection of different book studies in small groups.

For Parents

We love having children in worship and we want parents to feel comfortable while they worship with their children.
In fact, we consider children to be such valuable participants in our worship services that we designed a “Prayground”
in our sanctuary to keep them engaged while parents can simultaneously enjoy the service worry-free.
Alternatively, we also have age appropriate Worship Bags for kids, and a "Wiggle Room" if needed.
Our children's and youth ministries are currently being re-imagined and improved to serve all of our families to the best of our ability.
